Solve problems with Financial Aid or Scholarships

If you applied for Financial Aid or a Scholarship but did not get it, here are some things you can try:

Make sure it submitted successfully. After you submit your application, you will get a confirmation email from Coursera letting you know that we got your application. If you didn't get this email, your application did not go through, and you will need to apply again.

Check for a free trial or subscription. If you start a free trial for a subscription that includes the course you applied for, your application will be canceled.

Wait for the review period to be over. Our application review process can take up to two weeks. If you submitted several applications at once, you may have hit our application limit. Wait until an application receives a response before submitting another one.

Check your email. If your application is denied, you’ll get an email letting you know. That email will explain why your application was denied, so you can fix the problem and apply again.

Make sure your Financial Aid or Scholarship is still active. Financial Aid is valid for 180 days after your application was approved. If you don’t complete the course and earn a Certificate within 180 days, you will need to apply for again or pay for the course.
