Use Single Sign On to log in with your Coursera for Business account

Some companies use single sign-on, or SSO, to connect with Coursera. This lets you make a new account or connect an existing Coursera account to your company’s learning program. Sometimes SSO is known as OKTA, LTPA, Tivoli, or Imprivata.

If you do not have an existing account

If you don't already have a Coursera account, you'll create one as you log in with SSO.

  2. Type in your company email and company password, click LOGIN
  3. Add an alternative email to keep all your Course Certificates in one account
  4. Type a password in the “Create a Coursera account password” field and click SIGN UP

If you already have an existing Coursera account

If you already have a Coursera account, you can connect your business account to your personal account when you log in through SSO.

  1. Make sure you are not logged into Coursera already (clear your cache and cookies or try an incognito or private browser)
  2. Click on your company’s invitation (via email or through a Learning Management System)
  4. Enter your company email and company password and then click LOGIN
  5. On the screen that appears, choose I'm an existing Coursera user
  6. Enter the email address and password associated with your existing Coursera account
  7. Click Continue

The next time you return to Coursera, you can sign in with SSO by clicking LOG IN VIA YOUR COMPANY and entering your company credentials or by choosing Sign In and using your email and the password associated with the personal Coursera account that you connected.

Troubleshooting SSO

Make sure you use the same email account to login each time through SSO. For example, if you have an alias email like that has been connected to the account instead of, you'll need to use the same one every time. You can check to see what email address is associated with your Coursera account on your Account Settings page.

Change your Coursera for Business email address 

If your email address changes and you need to update your email address:

1. Go to
2. In the top right corner, click the drop down arrow next to your picture.
3. Click Settings.
4. Make the changes you want, then click Save.
