To be eligible for Coursera Financial Aid, you must demonstrate that:
- Paying the cost of the Verified Certificate would cause economic hardship
- The Verified Certificate is of significant value to your education or career
- You are committed to contributing positively to the course community and upholding a high standard of academic integrity
Applying for financial aid
To apply for Coursera financial aid, follow links in the course site to create an identity profile and register for a Verified Certificate. On the final payment screen, look for a link the Apply for financial aid at the bottom of the page.
You will have access to identity verification features while your application is under review, and you should begin verifying your identity immediately. We receive a large number of applications, and we are able to approve almost all of them. You will only hear from us if there is a problem with your application—if you don't hear from us, you can proceed with the course and earn your Verified Certificate.
