When you subscribe to a Specialization, your payments will automatically end once you complete all the courses in that Specialization.
If the Capstone Project course for that Specialization is only accessible after finishing all courses in a Specialization, you'll retain access to it for 180 days after your auto-cancellation. If the Capstone Project course doesn't restrict access by completion, you'll lose access to it once your subscription auto-cancels.
You can also manually cancel a Specialization subscription at any time.
How to cancel a Specialization subscription
On a computer:
- Log into your Coursera account
- Open your "My Purchases" page
- Click the Manage Subscriptions tab
- Next to the subscription you want to cancel, click Cancel
In the mobile app:
- Log into your Coursera mobile app
- Tap the settings gear icon in the top right
- Tap My Subscriptions
- Next to the subscription you want to cancel, tap Manage Subscription
- Tap Cancel subscription
Canceling your Specialization subscription won't refund past payments, but will stop all future payments.
After you cancel you won't be able to access paid course materials in that Specialization (including graded assignments). You'll keep any Certificates you earned while subscribed. Work you did in unfinished courses will reappear if you subscribe or pay for the Specialization again.
Refund a Specialization subscription
Because all Specialization subscriptions begin with free trials, you can't get a refund for a payment made on a subscription after the free trial ends. There are no partial refunds for subscriptions, so you'll need to cancel before your next payment date.
Cancel a Coursera Plus subscription
To cancel your Coursera Plus subscription:
- Log in to coursera.org.
- Open the menu in the upper right corner of the page and choose My Purchases.
- Click Manage Subscriptions.
- Click on the subscription you want to cancel, then click Cancel subscription.
Canceling your Coursera Plus subscription after two weeks won't refund past payments, but will stop all future payments.
When you cancel a Coursera Plus subscription
You will still have paid access to the Coursera Plus catalog until the end of the billing period. Once the subscription expires, courses you were subscribed to will disappear from your My Courses page.
You'll keep any Certificates you earned while subscribed. Work you did in unfinished courses will reappear if you subscribe again and re-enroll in that course.
Pause a subscription
If you want to pause or suspend a subscription, you'll need to cancel, then restart the subscription when you return. We'll save your work, but your personalized deadlines will reset when you resume your paid course access.
